Will your advisor still be authorized?
There is approximately 9,000 members of the College of Canadian Immigration Consultants of Canada (CICC) BUT will the one you picked will still be in business when you need them most?
Due to the pandemic and less travellers to Canada there is less potential immigration client's to go around. Many DIY spousal applicants who get refused only reapply instead of appealing the refusal to the IAD. IRCC keeps telling potential clients you do not need a Lawyer or Consultant to apply. Too many are only submitting DIY applications.
WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR APPLICATION WHEN THE REGULATED CONSULTANT (CICC MEMBER) GOES BANKRUPT OR ENDS UP QUITTING THE BUSINESS?
