Your 7 trends to help you blow up on Tiktok this week ??
After a week of record-breaking temperatures in the UK, it’s probably time to head indoors, cool off and treat that sunburn (I'm talking to you Scottish connections! ??) And what better way to prepare for the week ahead than by planning some viral-worthy content??
From Blondie to The Boys, we’ve rounded up 7 of the latest TikTok trends to ensure your content is as hot as the week gone by ??
This trend sees users share the phrase ‘(s)he’s a 10, but…’ followed by a flaw. Depending on the subject, the user could either be talking about themselves, or an undesirable characteristic in someone else. For example: ‘she’s a 10, but she uses jokes as a coping mechanism’.
This has a lot of potential for businesses of any sort. Use it to show what your potential customers are missing out on by not purchasing your product - do you run a skincare brand, for example? How about ‘she’s a 10, but she doesn’t wear our SPF’!
2. Sure Shot vs Fab Five Freddy
This one is fun and easy, considering the filters do most of the work. Using Blondie’s 1980 hit Rapture, users apply the ‘Big Eye Baby’ filter followed by the ‘Chad Jaw’ filter to offer two different perspectives of a story.?
How to apply this trend to your business? Use it to showcase 2 different products, or maybe to describe a customer interaction. Get imaginative!
3. Slow realisation laugh
TikTokers are using this sound from Amazon Prime’s ‘The Boys’ to share ‘lightbulb moment’ scenarios. This has endless POV potential: use it to document a time you solved an issue that was holding your business back. Share the moment you realised you had achieved your goal. Share the moment you realised your TikTok was blowing up ??
4. Remixing the story
Set to a sped-up rendition of Sir Mixalot’s Baby Got Back, this trend sees users imitating DJ movements as the onscreen text describes a time they may have twisted the truth slightly.?
There are two ways to do this: either reference a time you yourself altered a story to save your own skin, or talk about when someone else spun the narrative and it had a negative effect on you. As a business owner, you can use this to share things such as customer horror stories

5. Mentally Cheating by nataliejanesings
This original song has plenty of meme-worthy potential - it’s one of those ‘TikTok songs’ which could replicate the success of tunes such as Gayle’s ‘abcdefu’.
At the moment it’s mostly being used for transition videos; however, there are a few funnies thrown into the mix - such as realising you’ve been ‘Mentally Cheating’ when you wake up from kissing someone else in a dream!
6. Handshake take back?
This trending sound uses the onscreen text to convey situations where you may not have as much in common with someone as you initially thought.?
For example: “Oh, you’re a fan of Stranger Things too?” Extend your hand towards the camera as if offering a handshake.
“Yeah, my favourite character is Hopper!”
Retract your hand in disgust. No hate to Hopper - this was just an example we saw!
7. Nothing makes me 100% happy…
This is a nice simple one - begin your video with the text ‘nothing makes me 100% happy’. After 5 seconds, share a video clip that makes you happy. This can be a good one for showcasing your products!
