"Young, Famous & African." From a phone call to the Nasdaq Tower. Celebrating Two Years of CloudBees Momentum

On a sunny California afternoon in May 2022, I received a call from David Skok at Matrix Partners. David is a well-known entrepreneur as well as an early investor and board member at HubSpot . Over the course of 45 minutes, we covered a variety of topics, from finance to geopolitics to enterprise software.?

The greater bond, however, was our shared journey in Africa, where we both grew up, and my insistence on him partaking in my then current Netflix guilty pleasure of Young, Famous & African. As we concluded that there was minimal overlap with our current lives (us being neither young nor famous), we moved the conversation to CloudBees . The rest is history.

For two years now I've had the privilege of leading this company in a time of transformation and growth. With DevOps World kicking off today, it's the perfect time to reflect on the momentum we've built and the exciting journey ahead on one of the most significant days for our community.

Today, thousands of developers and industry leaders will come together to shape the future of #DevSecOps. Developers on the front lines will share best practices and collaborate on how they continuously redefine what’s possible through software. And with this year marking the 20th anniversary of Jenkins , we have even more reason to celebrate!

Some key milestones we've recently achieved:

• Over 500K developers are now actively using CloudBees, the largest developer base in our 15-year history.
• CloudBees is trusted by more than 500 of the world's biggest companies across finance, banking, healthcare, and technology, including Salesforce , Adobe , Mount Sinai Health System , 汇丰 , and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service .
• CloudBees has grown to over 550 employees, surpassed $150 million in annual recurring revenue and has achieved profitability.
• Our CloudBees CI product introduced High Availability Mode, the biggest performance and scalability update for Jenkins in a decade.
• We acquired Launchable to scale GenAI innovation across our DevSecOps platform.

CloudBees could not have made this progress without the steadfast support of our leaders. Marc Gemassmer joined as CRO in 2022, Raj Sarkar was named CMO in 2023 and this month, Richa Gupta was announced as the company’s CHRO. They join our fantastic team of Audrey Zhao , CFO, Shawn Ahmed , CPO and our co-founders Sacha Labourey and Francois Dechery .

I’m honored to be in the company of these impressive leaders and all 550 Bees in the CloudBees Hive. Together, we’re moving the company into a new era. In celebration, yesterday, we showcased our vision at the Nasdaq Tower, highlighting to the world what CloudBees is poised to accomplish as a trusted partner in our customers’ transformation.

This has been an outstanding period of growth for CloudBees from a customer, product and revenue perspective. We have all the right elements in place to accelerate our momentum with continued customer centricity and product innovation, and empower enterprises to embrace this technology transformation and challenges ahead.
