Youi Announces CIO Appointment

Leading insurance challenger Youi has announced the appointment of experienced technology executive Steve Nichols as Chief Information Officer. Mr Nichols appointment is effective immediately.

Mr Nichols has extensive leadership experience with particular expertise in digital, marketing, strategy, data and analytics and business operations within large organisations such as Shell Energy Australia , nbn? Australia and Telstra Wholesale , as well as start-ups.

Youi’s incoming CEO Nathaniel Simpson said Mr Nichol’s appointment was critical for Youi given the increasing importance of technology and digital solutions for customers and its own business operations.

“In Australia’s competitive insurance market, a challenger like Youi has to be extremely smart about how we use technology and digital solutions to underpin core functions in our business, as well as to make it easier for our customers to interact with us in the way that they want to,” he said.

“Steve’s experience of leading digital transformation projects in major companies and start-up environments will be invaluable to Youi.”

Mr Nichols said he looked forward to starting in the CIO role.
