YouCaring and Houston Texans' JJ Watt Team Up to Raise Money for Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts

The YouCaring team is working with JJ Watt and the Houston Texans to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey. JJ has personally contributed $100,000 to the cause, JJ Watt's Houston Flood Relief Fund. The campaign quickly surpassed its initial $200,000 goal and has nearly reached its new $1,000,000 goal, as of this writing. It appears to be the single largest relief fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey victims.

"The recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey are going to be massive, and many people will need our help to get back on their feet," said Watt. "It's extremely difficult to have to watch the events unfold on TV and not be able to get back to Houston to help - but hopefully this fundraiser will help show our love and support to those who need it the most right now. Any donation that you can spare, no matter how large or small, no matter what city or state you live in, is greatly appreciated. We will come out of this stronger than ever."

Hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc in the Houston area at an unprecedented scale, encompassing thousands of square miles of Southeast Texas. It continues to cause flooding that will affect millions of people. The Director of FEMA has stated that it is probably the worst disaster in Texas' history.

The people of greater Houston need all the support they can get right now -- not just financially, but also emotionally and materially. This is going to be a long and difficult recovery for thousands of families, and every bit helps.
