Are you yourself?
As the AI technology is improving, it is going to be a crucial challenge to distinguish between real people and their AI versions. 1
Before LinkedIn started to use the AI editing tool as an option for its premium version, I used Chatgpt to edit some of my previous LinkedIn articles. However, after a while, I felt those articles don't belong to me anymore. They weren't mine and they didn't represent me. I regretted and came back to my true version of myself with grammatical mistakes and sometimes, unclear for my audiences.
Later on, I saw an announcement from a LinkedIn friend that was mentioned his accounts would be managed by a third-party as he got very busy. I found that announcement very confusing and inconvenient for his audiences.
Richard, one of Dorval toastmaster club members suggested to be true versions of ourselves with our accents when we are presenting in a stage.
I think many of our daily behaviours, decisions and acts rooted to our fears. We feel like if we are ourselves then people won't like us. So, a disconnect exists between our outward identity and our true selves. We often desire the freedom to be ourselves, yet more often than not, the fear of rejection or disapproval drives us to compromise our individuality.
Whenever you feel something is rooted to your fear, I recommend to dive into it. Therefore, I decided to be myself, then, are you yourself ???
