You are Worth More Than You Realize; Here's Why
MaryBeth Wimmer
I empower Christian women to break free from anxiety and embrace a life of peace, joy, and purpose through the transformative power of God's Word.
Have you ever struggled to feel valuable?
Maybe you’re successful in your career, respected by your peers, and have built a life you’re proud of—but deep down, there’s a voice that whispers:
"You’re not enough." "You have to do more." "You have to prove yourself."
If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone. But I want to challenge you today to shift your perspective. Because your worth isn’t measured by your performance, productivity, or past.
?? Proverbs 31:10 says, “A virtuous woman, who can find? Her worth is far above rubies.”
Did you catch that? God says you are more valuable than rubies.
Your Value Isn’t Earned—It’s Given
The world tells us our worth is based on: ?? Our career success ?? Our achievements ?? Our social media influence ?? Our ability to ‘have it all together’
But God measures worth differently. He sees you as His treasure, His beloved, His chosen one.
?? Deuteronomy 7:6 – “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his treasured possession.”
If you are God’s treasure, why do you still question your worth?
The Lies That Steal Our Confidence
1?? The Lie: “I’m not good enough.” ?? Truth: "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" – 1 John 3:1
2?? The Lie: “I have to earn God’s love.” ?? Truth: "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8
3?? The Lie: “I am not special.” ?? Truth: "Your Maker is your husband—the LORD Almighty is his name." – Isaiah 54:5
How to Live Like God’s Treasure
?? 1. Replace Self-Doubt with Scripture Every time you feel unworthy, remind yourself of Proverbs 31:10—“My worth is far above rubies.”
?? 2. Stop Comparing Yourself to Others Your value doesn’t come from being “better” than someone else—it comes from being chosen by God.
?? 3. Walk in Confidence Knowing you are loved, valued, and treasured by God should give you the courage to step into your calling with boldness.
Final Thought: You Are Enough Because He Says So
God’s love is not based on your performance. It is based on His choice.
You don’t have to work for it. You don’t have to prove yourself. You are already His.
