You won't get job!

You won't get job!

You won't get job. Yes, you heard it correct. If you keep on doing same mistakes, you will get no result. Being in drive to job search, candidates are facing many issues & difficulties. This article is about some points explaining reason behind "why you won't get job". Some mistakes explained so that if you work on it properly, you will get better results for sure.

Let's understand by below 5 points with brief explanations.

  1. No interview preparation: It's like you are trying by yourself to fail if you are not preparing for the interview.
  2. No Resume update: If you are not updating your resume, chances are there that your resume is rejected in initial screening by the recruiter. If you are not updating your resume as per the JD then also chances are there you can get rejected initially before getting call for the interview. Grammar mistakes, no contact details, unclear gaps, no latest job or situation clarity, "no professionally made resume" can be the reasons too.
  3. No proper digital presence & limiting yourself with particular job portal: Not updated profile & resume at job portals. No professionally updated Linkedin profile to the target role you are expecting. If you are not having proper Linkedin profile then recruiter / HR will not get confidence to consider you to ask for the interview. Limiting yourself with 1 or 2 job portals is also not good idea when you are not getting results from those portals. Go for at least 10 good job portals with properly updating details there with clarity. Keep same details everywhere for sure.
  4. No proper research about company & role understanding: If you don't do any research about company & job roles you are applying there are chances initially or later on you are rejected or even after joining, you won't continue due to any of the reasons which you could find before joining. So proper research and applying your candidature accordingly will be more better strategy.
  5. Without conducting adequate job market research, expecting a job based on your own requirements or rules: Currently almost all companies are moving to "full time job with work from office" and if you are still stuck with work from home then it's likely you are rejected upfront by the company. There are many roles which we can do remotely but from company's point of view, they want the team at office and work from there. So you need to change your mindset & a bit work out on your expectations to get job. Also if you are expecting unrealistic hike then also you can face the difficulty in getting the job. Please study the job market, lay offs in your industry, package offerings for your expected role in the market, companies which can offer you the package and your expected roles. Based on your research & study re-strategize your approach else you will keep continue facing this issue.

Kindly go through above 5 points and try to work on your own based on your goals & expectations as per your situation. There are so many other points too. Keep exploring more ways and work on your skills, approach for searching the job after proper research.

Hoping for the best!
