Are you wondering what to do?
Like a lot of businesses out there I’ve had a few calls this week from clients, some in the event space, some in the sports marketing space and even some in the hotel & travel sector, all desperately worried about the situation they are in, and exploring ways to cut costs.
And like most people, you’re probably also looking at where your spend is going and making plans to help protect your business.
However, the one thing you really don’t won’t cut back are your sales and marketing efforts, you just need to take a long hard look at things and make some adjustments, change your tactics and approach, as they say, standing still is the quickest way of moving backwards, and I strongly believe now is Not the time to stop activity, you just need accept change, think positively and adapt.
In times of hardship we focus on our immediate family, friends and local communities, and the same needs to apply to businesses today, identify how you can help your current clients and contacts, talk to them, let them know you’re there to support them. You’ve got a far better chance of doing work with someone that knows you and trust you, than putting all your effort, and money, into reaching out to new sectors and contacts at this moment in time.
Now, I’m not advocating ignoring prospects that don’t know you, all together, just re-focus where you spend your time and resources as this will help you ride this storm out.
Be agile and be nimble, that way you’ve got a fighting chance to get through this.
Here at Wayout we’re already making big changes in the way we work with our clients, to ensure we continue delivering on business development needs without breaking the bank and costing £1000’s a month in retained fees.
We have plenty of tips and techniques to help you during this challenging time, so you can be more self-sufficient to keep the wolf from the door and business going.
So, if you’re looking for some help, let’s have a chat, you just never know.
