Are You Willing?

Are You Willing?

I have been on the East Coast since December 19 and will not be returning to the West Coast until January 31.

So far, I have met some incredible people for the first time, connected for the first time, in-person, with some inspiring people I already knew (virtually), and seen precious family members I haven't seen in YEARS!

I have also provided my signature training, "Laughter to Joy Wellness Experience" https://www.ceeq.org/shop-resources/p/laughter-to-joy-wellness-experience, participated in a motivating training by Heroic, and RELEASED my song, "Are You Willing?" in honor and memory of Martin Luther King Jr. and all People of Color pained by ongoing senseless acts of violence and hatred. My song is now available where ever you stream music: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/mishasafran/are-you-willing

Later this month I will be providing one of my signature talks: Centering Empathy into Your Leadership and Beyond at the DisruptHR event in Greenville, SC. If you live in the area, you can join us: https://disrupthr.co/city/greenville/

AND, while I have felt the joy and excitement of these accomplishments and adventures, it has not escaped me that there is ongoing pain in the world, and among my friends and family and their friends and families. It has become more and more prevalent to experience mixed feelings because the TRUTH is that joy and pain exist simultaneously around the globe as part of this life we live.

It is important to celebrate our joys even when there is pain in the world. And it is important to acknowledge the pains so people know they are seen, heard, valued, and understood. Neither is more important than the other. In fact, each depends upon the other to be truly aware of their size and impact.

Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that we need to create atrocities. However, sadly, they are often the catalyst to reminding us to appreciate the joys and love we have or strive for. I invite you all to celebrate what brings you joy while also giving space and time for the grief and pain.
