Thank you
Thank you for all your responses to my request for help with my clients on the craft accelerators, the trip to Astana, and the content for https://www.openincubator.ie (getting there, have a look). It is much appreciated.
Connected 2024
Astana and Kazakhstan were an amazing experience. I got quite a lot of publicity. Have a look:
I was particularly struck by how central they are (as one of the biggest countries in the world) in the new geopolitical reality and how their orientation is East rather than West. Do you really start to question the relevance of Europe (and the USA)?).
Cultural middleware
In the interviews, I stole a term from my friend Frank Hannigan, which is "cultural middleware". The ability to engage and understand Russia, China, India, South East Asia and the Middle East. Young, well-educated, and also fluent in English, with a huge diaspora. I had the pleasure of working with their climate tech startups. They will eat a lot of our European startups for breakfast. Kazakhstan reminds me of Ireland in the 90s. A place to watch.
Armenia
Next week, I will chair three panels at the Silicon Mountains International Tech Summit in Yerevan. The panels are Impact AI, Investing in AI, and Industry AI. Posing questions such as "Should AI replace politicians?"? or "Should we invest in natural intelligence instead?". A question for you: if you were Armenia, what would you do with AI?
NotebookLM
I asked NotebookLM to review my books about books. Here is a sample (Making work work). It is amazing what AI can do. I think it is also important to realise what AI cannot do. Have a look at Gerd Leonhard (he was in Astana, too). Combine that with Ken Robinson. Hence, the question: Should?we invest in natural intelligence instead?
Have a great day.

PS If you want something different, here is my blog about "Laying the Matrix: A Program for Living Deliberately and Creating Consciously". A very joyful book.
PPS My daughter Alice, after over a year of diving in Thailand, is moving to Australia and is looking for a job. Here is her LinkedIn profile. She is amazing.
