“I was early taught to work as well as play,
My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me every day.”
-John D. Rockefeller
This poem reflects the principles of sustainable work ethic, that is unwaivering to human urge to seek pleasure to balance the "harshness" of work. Confucius said: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." However, going back to the first billionaire in history, the "diamond dispenser" as they called him during the early 1900's, those who give out greater value than ask for are destined for greater rewards than our modern: "what's in it for me" - society and individuals.
"Earn as much money as you can" said a parish once to the young Rockefeller "and give out as much money as you can."
The legacy of the first billionaire in human history not only remains as Exxon Mobil - the current version of Standard Oil, but a legacy of dedication, hard work, persisntence and relentless can do attitude. We have seen this attitude in many shapes, most recently - with Donald J. Trump. Who would have thought that this individual would even become a president? This only shows that whatever you put your mind to and execute on a daily basis methodically you can achieve and not only through the ways of The Secret, where the universe aligns itself to fulfil the dreams of those who are truly desiring them, but also through the amosphere that one creates while effectively changing one's destiny.
