Are you using telepresence robots to work remotely?

In the movie Surrogates, people live and work in the outside world through their surrogate robots. This week, I had the opportunity to work first hand with a 2016 Surrogate, a Telepresence robot. Telepresence robots bring a unique way to be in two places at once. The current offerings vary, but generally take the form of an iPad on a stand with wheels. They are easy to use in Agile team spaces where navigation is simpler and personal presence is a plus.  This approach to remote work will move from interesting to compelling when features such as VR, 360 degree cameras and true self deployment are added.
