Nature is perhaps my best teacher. Nature is also one of my greatest sources of inspiration. It never let's me down. So what does this whale have to do with one's own ability? Back to the whale.
Let's really appreciate this whale from many angles. You could say it's beautiful. I agree. The whale is beautiful, and an incredible gift to our world. On the surface, that in itself is great to notice. Okay, what else do you notice? Do a deep dive. Can you look "deep" into this pic while relishing in it's beauty?
So here's one lesson I learned. Focus. Focus your thoughts. Focus your energy. A humpback whale weighs about 66,000 pounds. Look what this whale did when it made a decision and focused. It's truly amazing, isn't it?
Now go deeper. Does this whale know that it is inspiring a human being by it's action? Does the whale know that it is truly appreciated and that it's feat is being shared with other human beings?
If you look around, there are bountiful lessons and inspirational reminders in nature that are just waiting to be noticed and appreciated. It doesn't have to be represented by a creature as big as a whale.
It's amazing what you can do if you focus your efforts and energy on what you want to do...and just do it. When are you going to go airborne?
(Please pass this whale's message along. Share something you've learned by seeing this whale in action.)

8 年Thanks, Oliver. I agree. I believe there is much to be learned by our fellow animals' intelligence and humans' premature conclusions about them. Without even looking further into the biological science of the animals on this earth, there are so many reminders, lessons, and inspirational events ready to be discovered. Now here's a tip for decompressing, meditating, and provoking more thought about this... You may find the whales "music" interesting. Paul Winter did a great job of capturing it. You can hear it at this link: https://www.paulwinter.com/projects/whales-alive/ I was fortunate to see Paul Winter, in person, playing a duet with humpback whales. He also plays with wolves and more.

8 年Great post, I genuinely believe whales are as 'intelligent', if not more so, than human beings, just in a different way that's impossible to put into language.
