Relationship Status: Netflix
What I’m Watching …Weekend Update
I had the opportunity to do absolutely nothing this weekend, if you don’t count one soccer game, four loads of laundry, cleaning the house, and grocery shopping. So, I had the opportunity to catch up and binge-watch everything.
Woman of the Hour (Netflix) – I’ll give it a B, worth a watch if you like crime movies and follow serial killer thrillers… Yes, these are my go-to shows, though I’m also a big fan of Ann Kendrick. (those are not mutually exclusive) While based on true events, the movie is not based on Ted Bundy, which surprised me. I will now be seeking more information about this previously unknown (to me) terrible person. You're welcome for avoiding the spoiler alert.
Sweet Bobby (Netflix) – mixed feelings… I don’t watch MTV’s Catfish but am truly interested in how this happens to people. I’m not judging but I just find it really hard to be in a relationship with someone for years, say I love you, and trust them when you’ve never met them in person. But I get it, it happens.
Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix) – is back for another season and highly recommend it. Drama – highs, lows, and filled with courtroom scenes. As a once aspiring lawyer, big fan of the show.
?Outer Banks (Netflix) – is back and if you’re looking for a fun, easy watch while cleaning the house or folding laundry it’s a good bet. Most episodes you can watch with kids in the room… Chase Stokes (cheers to Kelsea ) isn’t terrible to look at and there are lots of new romances in the latest season.
Presumed Innocent (Apple) – loved this one! Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard were great. I love actors who evoke emotion when watching and Peter really made me dislike “Tommy.” Def watched this one when it came out and in one weekend. It has Defending Jacob vibes (Apple 2020). Also really good but the book was so much better (Defending Jacob). ?
If you’re looking for Halloween thrills or something to get in the spirit, here are a few suggestions. And while I do watch a lot of TV the below (Netflix) were not all consumed this weekend.

The Saw series (for me) is still one of the best in terms of horror/scares – keep you up at night have to watch cartoons before bed. Saw and Saw II to be specific – you’ve been warned.
?On the flip side and for those that prefer Cabbage Patch vs Chuckie here’s a fun Comedy Suggestion – Shrinking (Apple) – Love, love. Jason Segel and Harrison Ford are so fun together! For me, it’s a laugh-out-loud, binge-watch on a Sunday show. The second season is out now.
?The verdict is still out on whether I’ll tune into the new season of Yellowstone. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first few seasons but given all the drama and the departure of the latest main character I’m not sure if I’ll be returning. However, I’ll always be Beth and Rip’s biggest fan. “You are the trailer park, I am the tornado” – best quote hands down.
As I mentioned last time, Fall TV is back…
?
Happy Watching!
