You too can help shape the future of the Apple Watch!

Join our User Research Experiment Here

Millions of people around the world have already ordered their Apple Watch. In a previous post here, I have already explained that I am a huge believer and I continue to posit that the Watch is the catalyst for the overall wearables computing platform.

Putting my weight and actions behind my words, and with the help of a small yet passionate team, I have started Wristly.co - our new startup journey dedicated to help make product teams innovating on this Apple Watch platform as successful as possible.

Our first step in this journey is to assess what people like you, who have already received the Watch, do with it on a daily basis. One of the first questions we asked was about the ease of getting familiar using it - and while our initial sample size is small, more than 90% of you told us that it was easier or at least as easy as expected. Not bad considering some of the early press reports!

Join our "inner-circle" now!

We would like now to welcome you to become part of our inner-circle. We’ll send you a quick survey (about 5 questions) twice a week (of course we'll only use your data aggregated and anonymized). In return, we'll give you tips, insights, and first-looks at cool stuff coming to your wrist and most importantly remember what computer pioneer Alan Kay famously said:

“The best way to predict the future is invent it.

It's a good point Edward, but you can't completely discredit those who thought they might like such a device, or something like it but in the end found it did not meet their requirements. For instance the killer flaw with almost every smart watch is battery life. As a 24/7 watch wearer I want something that always just works without any battery anxiety. So I just decline to buy one. Other people may buy one and then discover this problem or how important it is to them. If you dismiss all comment by non owners only the later will actually be writing negative reviews that you would pay attention to and you'll get the statistics all wrong, especially ones about potential market for future devices or improvements to current ones. Same goes for apps..

It is interesting to read from people with an Apple Watch who say they love it, and people without the Apple Watch who hate it. "I don't see why anybody would use or need the XYZ product" is not valid commentary, if you have never used or needed one. Get one and use it and your comments will have credibility. Now I must go comment on an article about jet skis: "I have never seen the value of a jet ski, because I prefer the canoe I already have."

I have had my watch for 2 days now, and i love it. I am able to keep an eye on the support tickects that enter my office, and i am able to all my calls that hit my phone either directly or via my soft phone. The twitter, linkedin, calender notifications are but a few items that keep me focused with out being sucked into my phone
