Are you tired of not being heard?

Are you tired of not being heard?

Becoming an influential female' voice' in your industry can seem completely overwhelming….

sometimes just being heard can prove extremely difficult especially if you are young, maybe a little less experienced and competing for air space with a room full of people all eager to make their point

If you're naturally more introverted, you might be intimidated and worry that your voice has less impact

If you're an extrovert, you may feel you have the social skills and confidence but still lack the authority to be heard so you might resort to shouting louder!

But here's the thing…

If you intentionally craft your personal brand voice you will find a way in, that best suits your style

For example: If you're an introvert, the use of pause and silence means when you speak up; people will listen because you will speak with greater power and presence

You'll feel more in control, capable, and empowered than ever before

If you're an extrovert, you can channel your energy and presence to magnify your strengths, add value and build the trust of those around you rather than having to increase the volume

In all honesty, it really doesn't matter if you're an introvert or an extrovert; you will always be a valued voice in any room when your message is consistent and clear

That's why I put so much emphasis on coaching women in how to hone their brand voice, confidently step up and stand out in a manner in which they feel comfortable

When you are intentional about communicating your insights and ideas, you will begin to make a more significant impact and create the opportunities you want for your future

Communicating with Confidence requires focus on these 3 things

1. Don't listen to the 'imposter' inside your head!

The biggest challenge that many of my female clients, face is the little voice inside their head

·?????I’ve nothing to say of any value

·?????It’s a stupid idea

·?????Everyone is an expert, I’ll look like an idiot

It's easy to get in our own way and not fully believe in ourselves, but I absolutely encourage you to disregard your little voice and speak up. You’ll soon realise that it’s not as difficult as you might imagine and like any muscle, the more you flex, the easier it becomes

Before you know it, you'll be much more comfortable with the process of communicating with greater power and presence

2. Get clear on what you stand for and the unique value you offer

Having presence and influence requires standing for something and having clarity on what it is that you uniquely own

You must understand what you offer and how it shapes and informs your insights and ideas. This will allow you to communicate your message more effectively

3 Don't forget the power of silence as a communication tool

I mentioned this in the context of Introverts but no matter your style, the power of silence is often overlooked and is something you should most definitely incorporate into your leadership toolbox!

Understanding the power of the 'pause' and intentional silence before you speak can help grow your impact and presence

I love the power of the pause! It not only gives you a chance to catch your breath and hold the room, but it also helps prevent you from overusing unnecessary 'filler' words such as 'um', ?'like', and ‘kind of’ when you are trying to project your ideas with authority

If you can remember these things...

you will become an influential voice in the room
