And You Are?

Influencers. They might make a difference on the site where they allegedly influence. There are many on this site who are well known. No one has written more articles than I. Does it matter? Will it get me on a talk show? I would appear on a talk show before a podcast. No one is asking nor interested on either front.

Why would I want to bore anyone on a podcast? Since I don't have a podcast? I don't exist. Some guy who constantly talks about how he was fat and suicidal and now is successful said that. Let's call him White Goodman.

And where is the article on Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story? That is a movie I watch whenever I can so next time there is an HBO preview? It'll probably be on. One reason I don't subscribe to pay cable is their preview weekends always have beloved films I have seen too much. Why pay to watch what I already saw?

Another story, another article. It is better than dwelling on individuals on this site. I never hated anyone on LinkedIn nor was annoyed by anyone until video. Many of the more aggravating ones don't have work that comes to me. Why would I connect with them or the sycophants who feel they can do no wrong?

I have too many connections as it is. Everyone does. How often do you keep in touch with your network? Chances are five percent of connections are active. They may comment on a post, write a post themselves or like a status.

Some feel LinkedIn is an obligation. They act like they have to like a certain number of statuses or comment an arbitrary number of times to have success on this site. Success is achieved when you cultivate good relationships. That is vague. You'll know when it happens.

Don't connect with someone because they have a lot of followers. There are Subway sandwich shops all over. Is it the best option? Maybe serviceable. Seek out the best people for your needs. If someone says "You must connect with _____"- why? Maybe that person inspired the one who posted the suggestion.

Different people have different relationships. Should you connect with my sister? At one point she was The World's Greatest Baby. I am not connected with her on social media. I cannot say anyone should connect with anyone else. That is a personal decision. I spoke with my favorite LinkedIn connection of all time this evening.

Should I mention that on "Shout Out Saturday?" I cannot imagine anyone would be interested in a video where I mention whom I talked to this week. I cannot inspire others to read articles so why make videos? I'll never be a Top Voice. Wouldn't know what to do if I were.

The only way I could become a LinkedIn Top Voice is if people voted for me as a goof. Occasionally there were big girls voted Homecoming Queen. They might have been nice and looked good on stage. Superficial jerks made fun of them to the point I understand the prom scene in Carrie.

That scene had my all time favorite directing. The whole movie isn't as good as that scene. That's a better topic than mentioning people who have followings on this site and no one knows them walking down the street. The only time I hear about You Tube or Tik Tok influencers is when they accidentally overdose. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Live your best life and don't think about some echo chamber where various people tell you how great you are. Be the greatness and you won't need validation.
