While most of us probably think of the kitchen and bedroom, there is one room we use every day but don’t really talk about.

You guessed it, it is the bathroom !!! - Just how significant are our bathroom/s though?

We love this quote we have come across:

In fact recent surveys have shown that one of the two rooms that really sell a house is the master bathroom?

Over the next three months, we will be featuring the steps involved when redesigning/remodelling your bathroom and the amazing product ranges we offer for a perfectly completed outcome!!!

When designing anything, we often think straight away about the finished look we would like …style, colours, features, accessories …Focusing on just that can mean that we hit some roadblocks as there is a lot to consider ….

So, where DO we start???

???Start with a piece of paper, a scale ruler and a pen, to make a simple scale floor plan

This will help you to visualise the space and the elements you need to include.

? Trade Tip: When planning your layout, bear in mind that the position of the waste pipe determines where the toilet goes. This means for an existing bathroom, the toilet will stay in its existing place. If you really need to move the toilet or moving rooms around in your house altogether, keep in mind that draining issues will have to be worked out first and the waste pipe and drains will have to be relocated. This can be very labour intensive and add considerable cost to your project.

????Consider how many people will be using the bathroom

Is it a multi-generational or single person household? Are you future-proofing?

This will determine if you install a bath and what size, the type of shower (standard or walk-in-shower), possible seating and security features, type of flooring (tiles or anti-slip options).
