"You Think You Know How the World Works Dr. Strange?"

Lately I've been feeling somewhat of a relativity between me and one of my favorite Marvel characters, Dr. Strange. The movie, starring Benedict Cumberbatch (nailed it) was both visually appealing, as well as having a good story line. For the original Dr. Strange comic readers, there is many little hints that grip your attention, but for me it was Steven Strange and his 'enlightenment' to heal his hands. So doing, he seeks passionately for a cure, unstopping, crossing oceans. He gives all he has, and finally, finds a place to learn and further grow, Kamatash. It is the ultimate message however behind it all that grips me, has me waving my fingers in the air as if creating my own magic. Time is everything. It can be our savior, or we can try to defy it. While in Kamatash, Dr. Strange is asked a question, "You think you know how the world works?". He undoubtedly gives his concise response of "Absolutely, I'm a doctor so..." (paraphrasing a tad). Then a new world is thrown upon him. A world of opportunity and also of demise. It is up to him to choose the path.

Much like Dr. Strange, I don't pretend to know how the world works, only submitting to the 'river of time'. However, like Dr. Strange we all have our own baggage and hurts, and seek our 'Kamatash'. Then much like the antagonist of the movie, we can either turn away from what we once believed, or like Dr. Strange, continue to fight and heal. If you can lose over and over again and continue to move forward through time, you will reach the same conclusion that Dr. Strange does in his final battle in the dark realm. You can't always win, but you can lose over and over and over again. That makes you stronger than any force willing to take it away. Bones and body are weak, but the spirit is strong. Once you learn how to ultimately learn, accept and to continuously move forward through time, you will find the same magic. Maybe that's why I feel a bit Strange...
