Are YOU Stuck in the Playground of Undisciplined Thoughts?
Have you been to the playground of undisciplined thoughts? If you've spent any time there at all, you know that it's a dark place.
This is the place where doubt creeps in.
This is the place where you start wondering if you're ever going to be successful.
This is the place where stress and overwhelm hang out.
And if you go to this playground of undisciplined thoughts ... doubt, stress and overwhelm try to play with you.
They pretend to be your friends but they really just tease and taunt you.
And if you hang out in this playground too long, they will take you out of the game.
They are NOT your friends.
It's easy to look up and find ourselves in this crappy playground where our thoughts can mess with our heads!
When our business isn't exactly where we'd like it to be, we tend to start blaming ourselves for not being good enough.
Stress and overwhelm wriggle in and pretend to be our friends. We think, "I'm so overwhelmed, I just don't know what to do!", and so we do nothing. We're stuck.
And there's something about stress and overwhelm ... just claiming that they're taking over ... they give us an excuse that justifies not doing what we need to do to build our business.
Have you ever thought to yourself, "I'm so stressed, I'm just going to take a day and not do anything."? It's justified! No work today!
But then that one day turns into two ... and pretty soon it's a week ... and those crazy, undisciplined thoughts have just taken you out!
It is really hard to get back on the merry-go-round when you've allowed yourself to jump off.
Do you know who your real, true friend is?
Awareness.
Awareness is that little voice whispering to you, "No, no, you got this! You're not too stressed, you can do something today!".
Don't push that voice down ... that's the voice you need to listen to. That's the friend who is going to keep you moving forward.
It's so important to be aware of the thoughts we're thinking. That's how you keep the doubt, stress and overwhelm from taking over.
They're part of life ... part of human nature ... but being aware of those thoughts, and deciding that you will not allow them to take you out is how you get through.
I'm always going back to that ONE thing, I know! But on those days when when those little creeps are trying to get in your head, just be aware, and think, "Oh, there you are.", and then just do one thing.
Doing one thing to move forward will lead to two, and as you keep going, pretty soon, you're out of that freaky place and back to the playground of hope and excitement! It's so much more fun there!
It's all about minding your mind, and making a conscious decision that you're not going to allow doubt, stress or overwhelm take away your dreams. They'll try, because they're nasty like that, but just keep that awareness close, and use it to move yourself forward.
