Are You Struggling to Succeed in Life?

Are You Struggling to Succeed in Life?

True success is more than wealth, status, or power. It’s about living a purposeful life, one that brings peace, joy, and a profound sense of fulfillment. But what does it mean to live purposefully? Purposeful living means serving others, contributing to society, and ultimately serving God by using the unique talents, gifts, and resources He has entrusted to us. It’s about aligning ourselves with God’s will and allowing Him to lead our lives.

In observing how people live, I've found that they often fall into one of four categories. Each of these paths shapes their lives and the outcome of their efforts.

1. Pursuing Worldly Success with the Wrong Purpose

The first group comprises people who identify their unique talents, resources, and capabilities. However, rather than using these for the greater good or to serve God, they focus on accumulating wealth and power. Their aim is to ascend the ladder of worldly success, seeking fame, respect, and validation from others. Though they achieve their version of success, they often end up feeling frustrated, anxious, and stressed. Instead of peace, they find themselves burdened by the pressure of maintaining their position and reputation. True success remains elusive because it is rooted in worldly ambitions rather than a meaningful purpose.

2. Following Others Without Personal Purpose

The second group consists of those who model their lives after worldly successful figures, aiming to replicate their fame, wealth, or power. However, in doing so, they ignore their own God-given talents and gifts, trying to succeed in areas where they lack natural strength. This misalignment leads to a struggle; they often find themselves failing and disillusioned, cursing their “bad luck” and blaming external factors. They overlook the fact that their purpose must be rooted in their unique design and God-given abilities, not a borrowed blueprint for success. In pursuing someone else’s path, they miss out on discovering the fulfillment that comes from living according to their God-given purpose.

3. Serving a Good Purpose, But Following Their Own Plans

The third group seeks to serve society and align their purpose with their unique talents. They begin their journey with a sincere desire to help others and do good. However, they rely solely on their own plans, without surrendering their path to God’s guidance. As a result, they often find themselves drifting from their purpose when faced with challenges or tempted by worldly pleasures. Without the Spirit of God leading them, they lack the resilience to remain committed and focused, and over time, they deviate from their original purpose. True success becomes difficult as they struggle to balance their own ambitions with their call to serve.

4. Surrendering Completely to God’s Will

The final group consists of those who live with complete surrender to God, letting Him guide every step of their journey. They believe that God uniquely designed and created them with a purpose, and they seek the Spirit’s wisdom in everything they do. Aware of their spiritual poverty, they constantly depend on God’s strength, wisdom, and counsel. The Spirit of God fills them with characteristics of love, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control, overshadowing their innate sinful tendencies. They live not for wealth, fame, or worldly validation but to fulfill God’s purpose. Their ultimate goal is to be citizens of God’s kingdom, temples of His Spirit, and children who faithfully serve His will on earth. They lead lives free from the need for material praise, working selflessly and with love toward others, hoping for eternal rewards rather than temporary pleasures. Even if they face suffering, they experience profound peace and joy, knowing they are fulfilling a higher purpose.

Purposeful Living: Serving God and Protecting Creation

God doesn’t need us to fulfill His will for Him, but He desires us to do so to bring true prosperity, peace, and sustainability to the earth. His purpose for us includes caring for our planet and preserving it for future generations, avoiding reckless consumption and irresponsible use of resources. Living purposefully means being self-satisfied and responsible, focusing on sustainability in our actions and choices. God calls us to respect His creation, cultivating a way of life that ensures a thriving earth for those to come.

Finding True Success in Purposeful Living

True success in life is about finding and fulfilling the purpose God has for us. It’s not about personal ambition or worldly gain but serving others, nurturing our relationship with God, and aligning with His will. When we live purposefully, we are filled with peace, joy, and an inner satisfaction that wealth or fame can never provide. As we serve our purpose, let’s commit to being responsible stewards of God’s gifts and resources, ensuring a world that honors Him and sustains future generations.

Your message resonates deeply, Dr.T. Ruban??????. True success, as you eloquently describe, is found not in material gain but in aligning our lives with a higher purpose. The four paths you outlined reflect the varied approaches people take, often mistaking worldly achievements for true fulfillment. In my perspective, genuine success lies in the fourth path, namely the path of surrender, wherein we place our faith in an entity beyond ourselves to guide our lives. Your focus on the importance of purposeful living is particularly powerful. When we commit to serving a cause beyond personal ambition, we discover profound peace and joy that wealth alone cannot bring. Living with a sense of stewardship for God's gifts and for our planet adds a dimension of responsibility that ensures our contributions benefit not just ourselves but future generations. Thank you for sharing such thoughtful reflections. This perspective on success is both refreshing and inspiring.
