Are You Struggling To Run Your Business Alone?

Have you ever rode a horse along the beach in the sun? This was something I always wanted to do. Looked such fun. Sand under the horses hooves, waves crashing, even talking about it sounds great doesn't it? And if you've enjoyed this experience once or many times, i'm sure you'll agree it IS fun!
Like anything though it's not always what you're doing that's important. It's who you're with. Or in the case of riding horses, also what horse you're riding. The person or horse you're with, can make or break the experience.
I've been lucky enough to have some beach horse rides a few times. Only ever with an equestrian centre, not with my beloved Tara. The first time was in Scotland on a hot summers day. The horse was nearly 30 years old and although needed longer to warm up, was fine. The sea air suited him! That was a lovely day, a lovely horse, lovely company and lovely place.
Another beach ride I had in Wales was memorable for other reasons. The horse I rode was fine in the forest getting to the beach. But on the beach, it was a different matter. At one point I thought the horse was taking us swimming into the sea to Ireland or somewhere far away. It was nerve-wracking!
So me and another rider swapped horses, which worked out a good option for both of us. As I remember the other rider hadn't been getting on with his horse either. Us helping each other out, and not struggling alone made sense.
Thinking about this it's the same with any aspect of our lives. We can have great friends and family. Or a great business coach. And these can help lift us and make what could be ordinary experiences, extraordinary. We can be extraordinary in all that we do. It can be easier to be grateful and appreciative even in difficult circumstances. If we're surrounded by support and have that connection.
I know I can ride horses. Or well enough to have an enjoyable ride on the beach on that day in Wales. But with my horse and I not gelling, it threw me into doubt whether I could ride or not. Silly really, as that's not the case! And it may've been this horse sensed I was nervous about going into the sea. So he thought well, let's go!
A case of our mind taking us to where we go. And we should ensure our minds only contain the thoughts of what we do want!
Are you surrounding yourself with people who help you to be the best you can be? Do you have a coach to help you with your equine or canine business? Do you need someone to help challenge you? Or do you doubt yourself? Are your thoughts positive and optimistic?
Even in difficult times, you can make a change. Like I did on the beach when my horse seemed to be taking me out to sea. I changed horses. You can change your approach to. I could've persevered with that horse but I wouldn't have enjoyed the ride.
We don't need to struggle alone. The other rider and I swapped horses, helping each other. Taking help and having a coach to help you with your mindset or business isn't a sign of failure. Far from it, most successful business people do!
I hope this has given you some ideas to consider if you are where you want to be, and if you're heading in the right direction. Or if you're heading out into the wide-blue-yonder of the sea with no land (or goal) in sight!
