Do you struggle to give up sugar even though you need to?
Are you looking for gluten free
low sugar desserts? I went 95% sugar free last year so I’m always looking for good ideas for gluten free
low sugar desserts or even better gluten free no sugar desserts. These are a few ideas that I have tried in the past and really enjoyed.
- Chia Seed Pudding:Mix chia seeds with almond milk or coconut milk.Add a sweetener like stevia or a small amount of honey.Let it sit in the fridge until it thickens, then top with fresh berries. I personally really like blueberries, blackberries or raspberries the best. You also need to let the chia seeds and almond or coconut milk soak overnight for the best results.
- Coconut Flour Pancakes:Use coconut flour instead of regular flour for pancakes. In order to make this work though you need to use more eggs than you are used to. I find it takes about 4 eggs for only 1/2 cup of coconut flour. You can try mixing coconut flour and almond flour and use fewer eggs. Check out this coconut flour pancake recipe
for one example. Sweeten with a small amount of maple syrup or honey.Top
with sugar-free fruit compote.
- Avocado Chocolate Mousse:Blend ripe avocados with cocoa powder, a sugar free sweetener, and vanilla extract. My favorite with this one is stevia but you can also try maple syrup. I don’t recommend honey as it changes the consistency and the flavor is a bit off. Chill in the refrigerator until it reaches a mousse-like consistency.Check out the other recipes here: https://annalaurabrown.com/10-delicious-gluten-free-low-sugar-desserts/
