Maximizing Content Effectiveness: Crafting Compelling Copy that Converts
Over the weekend, a client sent me some marketing emails to review.
While the message of each email was phenomenal, she was straddling the fence.
She was in explanation mode.
She was avoiding specifics in her stories.
She wasn’t starting with the “hook” of the story.
When I typically see this from my clients, I know they want to tell the story but don’t want to offend. They’ve been taught to walk the middle of the road, to straddle the fence, per se, so they don’t offend and cause controversy.
This is the kiss of death in business, especially service-based businesses that attract clients based on their expertise.
This causes low conversion rates.
This causes you to stay in the sea of mediocrity instead of standing out as the go-to authority in your field.
