YOU STILL LOOK THE SAME TO ME

It’s easy to love you from this far away. Old memories radiate into my days, your smile’s polite and you still look the same. You still look the same to me. It’s easy to love you, although time is cold. A tale by design that never grows old, all the photos and stories remain you still look the same to me. It’s easy to love and so I find nostalgia radiates from yours to mine. We own a second, somewhere in my mind you still look the same to me. It’s easy to love you, recollections fade in perfect old stories where you I lay, I still feel the longing, will that ever change? You still look the same to me. It’s easy to love you from inside my cell. A poetry prisoner trapped by your spell, I will always love you, I will never tell. You still look the same to me.

I may never touch your far away land in an old story I’m clutched in your hands. I can still hear us sing. I can still the sand and you still look the same to me.
