Does this sound like you?
At the root of these patterns and behaviors is perfectionism.
I myself am a recovering perfectionist, and I can honestly say that it took years of self-discovery and healing work to (1) become aware of this and (2) to unlearn it all. As I peeled back the layers to my overly critical, workaholic and controlling ways, I uncovered a core wound: feeling unworthy.

I’ve come to learn that perfectionists define their self-worth by their achievements, productivity and accomplishments, and they depend on external circumstances + people to feel validated and appreciated.
Our culture teaches us to believe that perfectionism is a trait to be admired, when in fact it interferes with the quality of our lives. It prevents us from: feeling whole, being present, pursuing opportunities and dreams, and it keeps us in the rat race of constantly chasing something outside of us to fill the emptiness inside. How exhausting, right?
If you are ready to un-do your perfectionist ways and desire to cultivate wholeness + worthiness from within, I can be of service through my 1:1 private coaching offering - send me a DM to book a free call to connect :)
