You spend more than 50% of your waking hours inside your office. Why shouldn't it be a place you love coming to?

All of us spend most of our day at work, inside the office, and the rest of the day battling the rush hour traffic, eager to get home and hit the sack. And so we wondered if we are spending the entire day inside a room, why not make it a happy place? Emily Change says great companies are built in the office, with hard work put in by a team. So we decided that if our team is working so hard to make our dream a success, why not give our team a great office - a place where everyone enjoys being in, feels a sense of contentment, and feels as comfortable as home.

That is when we decided to take up a new office premise and completely decorate it to make it swanky and exclusive. We planned to design our new office keeping in mind what our team would like.

Months of hunting for that perfect place, weeks of busy days and sleepless nights getting the interiors done, and a bucketload of dough has finally given us a place we like to call our second home!

A cozy place with undertones of white and generous use of the psychologically cooling gray which is known to make you feel steady, calm and dignified sets the perfect tone for our office. Well thought out, random dashes of vibrant orange add an element of zing and passion to the room.

With no separate cabins for the founders, we promote a transparent work culture with an emphasis on openness and approachability. Elon Musk says "The path to the CEO's office should not be through the CFO's office, and it should not be through the marketing department. It needs to be through engineering and design.". We took this a step ahead when all our teams actually sit in the same room. Jokes aside, we did this because we are a small team and don't really need multiple floors. At least, not at the moment, though our vision is to get there :)

Our next room is the place for brainstorming, discussions and our talks- the conference room. The dictionary describes "conference" as a formal meeting to discuss serious matters. But we wanted to keep our conference room plush and chic. Instead of creating a sense of drabness, we aimed for it to give a feel of elegance. We should probably call it the "fun-ference" room!

And then, a place pushed to the corner in most offices, under-maintained, ill-lit, with a worn-out coffee machine that gives you the same ol' coffee irrespective of your mood, and which does nothing to give you the much-needed mid-work breaks. Our taste buds enjoy variety and there is nothing like having the option of having a refreshing chilled drink or a steaming cuppa of not just the regular tea-coffee, but more, which let me not disclose, and leave it best for you to enjoy when you come down!

And finally, a surprise for our new recruits, whom we are still on the lookout for- a new cabin that gives them their space to get their creative juices flowing. I would love to share those pictures too, but the room awaits who deserves it, and so I won't unveil it! We have a few mid-level to senior positions open and have the cabin reserved for the right person who fits the bill. We look for the same passion and ownership that we have in all our team members. May the best man/woman get it!

A feel-good place keeps you happy inside, gives you a sense of calm and inspires you to do more. The office becomes more than just a regular chore. It becomes a place you feel special at, a place you would love to coming to, and makes you a happy person. And happy people make a happy organisation.
