If you sometimes have trouble engaging with the wealthy, read this…

I got a question the other day…

“Mark, I’m a huge fan. I read your newsletter every day but… I’m still completely uncomfortable going up to strangers at a social event especially if they’re richer and older than me. What can I do?”

This is SO common among the private clients I work with.

And it’s such an interesting question.??

?? Because there’s so many solutions for different people.

?? Some work for some and some don’t work for others.

But here are a couple that are my go-tos:

?? MINDSET SHIFT.

Whenever I’m working with someone who is uncomfortable engaging with people in a networking or social situation, it’s usually because his (or her) mindset is in the wrong place.

Namely, he’s putting a ton of pressure on the approach.?

He’s got expectations for HIMSELF.

Shift your mindset to “here’s someone who may be an interesting person.”

If they turn out to be that…?great! If the conversation doesn’t go anywhere…?it’s no big deal.

There are a lot of other people you can engage with.???

Secondly… ?? TRANSFER YOUR FEAR.

Don’t be afraid of approaching someone new… rather think about what you may miss out on if you don’t approach.?

What if you miss out on making a connection that could radically shift your business in a positive way?

Fear is great if you use it as a tool.

And that’s what this technique is all about.

One thing I always ask my clients is this:

?? “Are you scared of the approach or…

?? Are you scared because you don’t know what to say or do?”

Most of the time, what’s disguised as fear is actually just not knowing what to do.

If you know EXACTLY what to say or do…

It becomes EASY to approach.

This is a topic my private clients and I spend considerable time on.

If you would be interested in working with me 1-1, there’s some information?HERE .?

See you on the next page,

Mark?
