Are You Smarter Than a Kindergartener?

Are You Smarter Than a Kindergartener?

If you were to survey my opening remarks across the years, you would realize that I rarely just say “Good morning, thanks for coming, and welcome.” Sometimes I don’t even say “Good morning” — I just launch into some story.

The story I told in 2018 was one of my favorites, because, first off, it was told to me by a good friend who teaches middle school, and second, because it was 100% true although you would never believe it.

Watch the video to see just how many people are willing to believe a crazy story…just because.

What a great opening and demonstration of how to bring contrast into a story. So funny the moment the text is changing.

Very funny, especially as I have been a teacher and have taught 4&5 years olds! There's a lot of 'goals' in education even for the very youngest - I'm sure various curriculum documents would provide inspiration for other stories!!
