Are you sitting on an opportunity, but aren’t sure you want to take a risk?

I don't know about you, but it's sometimes difficult for me to recognize opportunity because many times opportunity looks like risk and risk is scary. For me, taking a risk involves straying out of my comfort zone and stepping into the unknown. But, it’s where I’ve had my biggest gains. The moment I made the decision to take risks, and go get what I really wanted, was when my life changed forever.?
Are you sitting on an opportunity? Have you missed the window to take action? Don't tell me…I already know because I'm sitting there next to you. And if that's the window of opportunity we're both finding ourselves looking through, it's time to change our approach. Opportunity doesn't always look like a naturally sexy proposition, but we have an obligation to challenge ourselves outside of our comfort zones and truly step out on faith.
I like to think of risk as something that you'll never truly understand until you do it. When you're making a decision, your emotional brain is sitting right there in front of you screaming at you not to push your boundaries. But consider this, nothing ever changes if you don't take risks. You’ll be the same person 5 years from now as you are today.

All too often we let fear get in the way of our opportunities and we make excuses to not take a risk. When we allow ourselves to stay within our comfort zone and make excuses why we shouldn’t take a risk, we are actually preventing ourselves from evolving, growing, or doing something that would change our lives for the better.
Taking advantage of an opportunity when it presents itself can mean the difference between success and failure, but a lot of us are stuck inside our own heads, mired in fear and uncertainty. What is your current level of risk tolerance? If you are like most people, you probably don’t feel fully secure in your job. You may have fears about losing your home or health issues that keep you up at night. Are you tired of the way things are right now and you want more, but you’re holding yourself back because of the risk? It’s understandable, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You can work toward a better life for your family, but you will have to make some changes.
