Are you sick & tired of hesitating?

I miss this amazing community on LinkedIn. During the pandemic, we were all bonded by the shared experience of trying to stay sane while staying healthy. I don’t ever want to hear the words social distancing again!

But even though I was deathly sick with double pneumonia, if I’m being honest with myself, it wasn’t all bad. More time with my kids. Flexibility and no more 3 hour commute. And time to explore the bigger existential questions in life with you by writing this newsletter and hosting LinkedIn Live chats.

Well, it’s time to get to what I enjoy doing the most - surfacing the unspoken obstacles that stand in the way, especially the person in the mirror.

The premise of my new book, Burn the Boats, is simple: too many of us are driven by fear, waiting for the perfect moment to act. But every second you delay slows your journey to the life of your dreams.

Here’s what I’m going to do with my new Burn The Boats Newsletter: unpack my book that I spent 3 years writing and 48 years living. While my book comes out early next year, you can start burning those boats burning today! I’ve created a tactical playbook that will help you identify the roadblocks in your way and harness your potential energy to burn the boats and focus squarely on Plan A.

Within?Burn the Boats,?I'll share how to follow the lead of Sun Tzu and Julius Caesar, all the way to Milk Bar’s Christina Tosi, billionaire Marc Lore, actress Scarlett Johansson, and the dozens more whose inspiring stories are shared in this powerful book: cast away your safety nets, overcome your hesitations, and burn your boats.?

This newsletter will tackle the big questions we all face:

  • ?How can I turn my deepest flaws into fuel for my greatest triumphs?
  • How can I become financially free without a revolutionary invention or product?
  • How can I break the patterns holding me back?
  • How can I cultivate my proprietary insights to launch a game-changing business?

Every groundbreaking voyage begins first with a journey of self-discovery. You need to look within and understand better than anyone else what makes you tick, your values, and your principles. You have to know your strengths and your weaknesses, and the life you’re looking to live, before you can architect a plan to get there.

Fortunately, self-awareness can be cultivated; it’s a muscle that becomes more efficient each time you use it. This all requires asking yourself some hard questions, and taking the time to really think about the answers.

But you don't have to take on this challenge alone. I am living proof that success can emerge from even the darkest places. I hope you'll join us on this journey to burn those boats, reach unimaginable heights, and give yourself no choice but victory!

it is as equally important to ask yourself "why?" as it is to commit yourself to the action of discovery. sure, there are dangers at every corner, but those dangers define your self-confidence and ultimately your ability to successfully pivot in the face of risk.

From the title of the book, I remember the story of the War Leader who burnt the boats his troop came in saying "We either win or die on the field, there is no going back" (Paraphrased). I appreciate the questions the book is addressing, as these solutions will help liberate a lot of businesses. Also, who wouldn't love a weekly session with you Matt Higgins. Thanks for this lovely book.
