You should NOT ignore #AI

I just saw the "60 Minutes" episode (below) where 谷歌 demonstrated some of the work that are currently engaged in around #artificialintelligence

Yikes! It was more than just an eye-opener!

Apart from a demo of their new "ChatGPT" equivalent (aka Bard), the program showcased some of examples of intelligence chess and (table) soccer.

Google's CEO and a few other of its' executives that are working in this space gave their thoughts on the direction of Artificial Intelligence, the jobs that it will affect, and the need for some form of "catching up" and governance.

Here is my take on what each one of us can do to prepare ourselves:

• Be curious: it is not enough to pretend that this technology will not go any where. Each one of us needs to be curious about how our current abilities to generate an income (in our careers or businesses) and plan for potential eventualities.

This "thing" will make many roles redundant. Don't be caught by surprise!

• Go off-grid: never has there been a more pertinent time to explore how each one of us can go as far off-grid as we can with things like power generation, recycling, agriculture and the other basics needed for survival. The reality is that the economic systems - as we know them today - are already seeing some seismic changes. One of the best ways to be prepared is for each one of us to be able to cater to our basic needs without relying on existing infrastructure and systems.
