You should NOT be in Couples Therapy with your UNETHICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr. Geist, a Harvard psychologist should learn a thing or two.
First, NEVER do couples therapy with "a couple" that is in an UNETHICAL/IMMORAL relationship. I should have NEVER given up my therapy to sit with BOTH of my psychologists going AGAINST ME! I felt shamed and it was bizarre, to say the least. I always looked for a second therapist because my primary therapist (Dr. Geist) refused to give me the standard "50 minute" therapy time that he gave ALL HIS OTHER PATIENTS! He encouraged the unethical relationship I had with my second psychologist.
Second, NEVER do therapy if one of the people in "the couple" is MARRIED and LIVING with their spouse!!!! I was married and living with my husband and young son. My family was torn apart. I can't go into detail of what happened. But my son saw my psychologist pick me up at our front door in his fancy sportscar several times a week and speed away with me. He heard me screaming with him on the phone. He saw me passed out on the couch DRUNK after arguments with him.
Third, a psychologist that sees harm to his client from another professional psychologist SHOULD REPORT THAT PSYCHOLOGIST! If you have gone through the years of schooling and training and supervision/residency you should KNOW SEX IS NEVER PART OF THERAPY.
My life and my families lives have been destroyed. But if I can reach out with my tragedy maybe I can SAVE others. I have listed the links to my books below that tell in detail what happened:
