An industry-wide, hardware-based security vulnerability was disclosed this week. The good news about Azure VM's is its automation:

1. All the affected customers were notified in advance.

2. An accelerated maintenance being performed 

3. SLA commitments of Availability Sets, VM Scale Sets maintained.
