I finally figured out why my LinkedIn Engagement strategy isn't where it should be.
Turns out, I'm over doing it on day one and the rest of the week.
I've written tons of articles outlining my simple, repeatable approach to LinkedIn engagement. A dependable process you can do in 15 minutes a day, hitting the 5×5×5 method.
Sounds simple right?
Well, when I open LinkedIn in the morning all eager to engage, I end up opening all the tabs of all the people who've ever even glanced at my profile.
I start typing up personalized messages, commenting on posts, and before I know it, hours have gone by.
But then the rest of the week comes, I'm behind on other tasks because I over did it.
It's like when you go too hard on leg day. It might feel amazing at the moment. You feel like you accomplished something great. But then the next day, you're so sore that it's hard to even walk. You're so sore, you can't keep up with the rest of your workout plan.
So, how do I fix this?
Stick to the freakin' script.
I might need to write it on a sticky note near my workspace, so I can view it always.
It's so simple. I created it to make life easier. I suppose the next part is to create an environment that allows me to stick to it.
