Are you rushing the journey to your destination or are you taking the time to appreciate the scenery as you travel through this life time?

But I want to be there now!!

No, this is not the voices of children (or my nephews in my case) as they kick the back of the car seat. It is the sound of those nagging and impatient voices in our heads.

The voices that are not content with where we are on our journeys right now. Like children they often seem demanding, whinny and on the verge of a complete temper tantrum.

What if, we miss the most amazing event because we speed past the “turn-off” because we missed all the signs?

What if, you accidentally drove right over that cat (let’s call him opportunity) because you were too focused on rushing to get somewhere...somewhere that you didn’t even need to be?

What if, we could silence them by just saying “shh, look out the window and appreciate the scenery along our journey”?

What if, we made the choice to take the scenic route so that we could see and experience all that life has to offer on the way to our destination?

What if, you turned off your navigation, followed your instincts, stopped to appreciate the view, took the long way just for the fun of it and still ended up exactly where you needed to be?

Wouldn’t that be more enjoyable than the just seeing the blur of life as you pass it by?
