Are You Ready For Your 2023 Show?

Customer Experience & Leadership Speaker?? Driving Revenue & Retention: Hospitality Consultant, Keynote Speaker, and Author on Leadership & Customer Engagement Strategies.
How was this year for you and your business? Is there anything you are planning to do differently in the coming year?
In this issue, I thought I’d plant some seeds as we wrap up 2022, and help establish your success in 2023. Specifically, I’d like to address the importance of planning.
I am heading into rehearsals for a new production, slated to open in April 2023, twenty-one weeks from today (the date of publishing). We’ve already done some preliminary work. We’ve chosen a script, we have a director and executive producer. We’ve held auditions, booked our venue and scheduled our rehearsals (which start tonight).
In the numerous (production) meetings we’ve had thus far, we’ve defined our objectives, created a critical path (what has to happen by when), and set the plan in motion. In business parlance, we’ve adopted Stephen Covey's second habit of? 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, to "begin with the end in mind."?
Every aspect of a theatre performance, from the players to the stage set, to the minor details, must be in sync with the script (plan) and the director's vision: to one outcome. Deliver the best performance (product) for the audience (the customer), guided by a set of values and shared purpose.
What the audience will see on April 14th is a well-thought-out production, designed with them in mind. Every choice, every decision, and every solution to any crisis will be driven by one definable outcome. To deliver on our promise and meet the experience expectation of those who purchase tickets.
As we wrap up 2022, take the time now to review your objectives. Create a scorecard for this year - what went well, what didn’t go well, and decide what you need to change in 2023.
Get your cast together and talk about your objectives for 2023. What would you like to start, stop or change in the coming year? What can you do to create that jaw-dropping, show-stopping experience your customers (and staff) deserve?
By setting your intentions now, for the coming year, you help your troupe celebrate your success, get over the failures and prime them to deliver their very best in the coming year.
As a first kick at the can, I invite you to join me, on December 8th, 2022, at Noon, MST, I will be presenting Strings Attached: Creating Lasting Connections by Designing for the Human Experience to MPI Greater Edmonton Chapter , via Zoom.
