Are You Ready for the Winner's Circle?

Are You Ready for the Winner's Circle?

Beyond the release of adrenaline, after you find that your wildest dreams have come true, you might wonder now what.

Dreams are not made in the winner's circle they are acknowledged there. The people that are around you on the podium can view you and rightly so as the competition. If you are the gold medalist or trophy winner, you must beat someone else out to get there in most cases. The people who got you there are in the audience. Now you’re tasked with remembering the names of those who helped you along the way before the music starts playing.

When you think about it the winner’s circle is a peculiar space. Those who ascend there can be accused or admonished to not forget where they came from. I remember standing on stage after my award show (yes, I created an award show) and rushing back to the microphone because I had forgotten of all people to thank my right-hand man. In doing so someone else thought that I intentionally did not acknowledge them.

You may find yourself unwittingly in the spotlight through social media or maybe you’ve won the lottery. Often people in those situations are not prepared for what happens next and are not able to sustain at that level for very long. ?

Preparing to win takes sacrifice and discipline. Nobody makes it by themselves, although it seems like it at times. First, take your moment but, remember the victory was secured outside of the circle and those who are there with you are not the ones who got you there.
