5 Strategies to Uplevel Your Life: Unlocking Your True Potential
In the journey of personal and professional growth, understanding and articulating what you truly want is often the first and most challenging step. You may think those bigger questions are much easier to nail down than “What do you want for dinner,” but after doing this exercise with hundreds of people over the years, most of us either have no idea what we want, are too afraid to ask for it, or believe that it’s out of reach.
Worse, you might find yourself settling for what you get and complaining, rather than asking for what you truly want and expecting it to appear. To want to be wealthy is simply a wish. To want to generate $10,000 a month is a “want.”
A “want” cannot include words like, “I want more...”, “I want a better…”, “I hope…”, or “Maybe one day…”. A “want” must be affirmative in these three categories to truly be a tangible goal: actionable, measurable, quantifiable.
Believing 100% in what you want, asking for it, and expecting it to appear is often called the Art of Manifestation or the Law of Attraction. In my world, we say, you “Forbes’d it.”

2. Affirmative Action
Transform your goals into affirmative statements. Replace passive language like "I hope to..." with definitive actions: "I will exercise every morning at 7 AM for 30 minutes." This shift in language creates a powerful commitment to your goals.
3. Measurable Milestones
Break down your goals into measurable milestones. This makes your progress tangible and allows you to celebrate small wins along the way. For example, if your goal is to write a book, set milestones like "Complete the first chapter by the end of the month."

4. Quantifiable Outcomes
Ensure your goals are quantifiable. This means you can track and measure your success. Instead of wanting "more clients," set a goal to "gain five new clients per month." This specificity turns abstract desires into concrete objectives.
5. Manifestation Mindset
Adopt the mindset that what you desire is already on its way to you. Believe in the possibility of your goals, ask for what you want with confidence, and expect to receive it. This isn't just about positive thinking—it's about creating a mental and emotional environment that attracts your desires. When you truly believe, you “Forbes’d it.”
