Are you ready to put on the razzle dazzle?

Are you ready to put on the razzle dazzle?

Let’s face it, last Christmas was somewhat toned down and office parties over zoom fell short of the celebrations we are used to in the festive period.

I am already seeing parties and gatherings being planned and a take up of our venue sourcing services. We have helped to book entertainment, plan themes and showcase some of the best venues around. It is such a nice feeling to be back at some fantastic venues.

A shout out to The Belfry, The Hilton Metropole, Hogarths and Telford International Centre where we have been recently delivering some pretty awesome live events. Working with customers to plan a mix of intimate gatherings, awards ceremonies, and parties in some cool and quirky venues has been an absolute pleasure for the LZ team.

With just a few weeks to go until December the clock is ticking to get your teams Christmas gatherings planned and organised.

The Christmas party is an iconic event and up there with the biggest event on the company social calendar. Are you going classy, themed, wild or fun? Whatever your plans, the overarching theme should be to re-energise the workforce and celebrate your achievements as a team over the year.?Being together in one room certainly feels like a major milestone and one that should be celebrated.

If you need some inspiration here are a couple of ideas from the LZ team:

“The Christmas party may be one of the key events you have hosted for a while. Don’t just see it as the end of the year celebration but incorporate ideas such as team awards or opportunity to formally recognise individuals. You could include a few speeches or pre-record some messages of key achievements. These are relatively easy to produce and will have impact (and allow you to enjoy the evening/event as it’s pre-recorded).” Paul, Director, LemonZest

“Incorporate company culture into your event theming. Think about the touch points for styling all the way through from the invite to on the day. Work with your event planner and venue to incorporate your AV requirements, lighting and what else can add the wow factor. It could be something as simple as a photo booth that adds the fun factor. Establish who is responsible for which elements, i.e. what needs approval or what can be handed off to your events planner/venue? Planning ahead will most definitely take the stress away on the day.” Celine, Events Planner, LemonZest?

It’s also a good time as we are in Q4 of 2021 to get planning for 2022. Start to think about what your requirements might be for company conferences, charity dinners, summer socials. One thing I know is that due to the pause of events in 2020 and 2021, venues and entertainers are in high demand as the events calendar has been pushed back and 2022 will feel the squeeze. Hybrid and virtual events are still going strong though and our virtual studio is in full flow. If you’ve not yet been to see the studio or are curious how it could work for you then message me to organise a visit or take a look at our show reel. ?

I hope you’ve found this post useful and as always comments, questions etc. just post below or get in touch with me directly.

I think this year will be the year of the Christmas party. Venues are going to be stacked! Do venues actually have any availability for December or do you think people will go early or later too (Nov/Jan)? Hope you are well anyway Louise.
