The Grieving Blueprint Launches!
Did you know that being READY for something has a HUGE impact on how much you benefit from whatever it is?
Being ready for something means that you are open to learning, receiving, or experiencing something new - a new way of doing something, a new way of thinking, a new way of acting, a new way of being.
If you aren’t ready, it won’t matter what comes across your path, no matter how perfect or beneficial it may seem at the time. ?
If you aren’t ready, you’re not ready.
Full stop.
Which is how I was about facing and feeling my grief over the loss of my infant son for many, many years.
Oh, yes, I would let the sadness and emotional pain surface from time to time, but never enough to fully release it and start to heal.
I wasn’t ready.
And when I left my marriage, I was numb and angry and it took me a couple of years to truly feel my disappointment and sadness about losing what I thought was my fairy tale marriage and that the “sure thing” future I had was no more.
I wasn’t ready.
But then, one day, I was.
For me, my turning point was seeing how not facing & feeling my grief was impacting my daughter. ?I was NOT being the best parent I could be. ?I was impatient, short-tempered, distracted, grouchy, tired - definitely NOT the way I wanted to be with her.
I was also getting to a point where I was tired of feeling numb and sad all the time.
Nothing I experienced felt like it had any depth, any edges, any colour.
And I really hated how I couldn’t really feel joy, only fleeting moments of happiness…and I used to be a really happy & joyful person.
I felt like I was existing outside of myself and only pretending to live my life.
And I wanted MORE.
More from life.
More for my daughter.
More for Me.
That’s when I knew I was ready.
Ready to peel back the layers of my grief and face it head-on.
Ready to find support as I worked through this process of healing.
Ready to step back into my life.
It wasn’t a monumental “a-ha” moment of readiness.
It just was.
I just knew deep down that I was finally ready.
So, how will you know when you are ready?
Ready to move forward with your grief.
Ready to ask for support.
Ready to move out of your darkness and find joy again.
