Hello Dear Readers,
Are you ready to end the year on a high note with a health transformation?
Join Mary Welch , NP in her free webinar,
“Finish 2024 Strong: 3 Simple Steps to Transform Your Health and Lose Weight ,” on August 31st at 7pm PST.
Mary will share key strategies for mindset shifts needed for sustainable weight loss so that you may be closer to your goals by the end of the year.
As we bid farewell to August and welcome September, we enter a season of change.
The shift from summer’s carefree days to the structured rhythm of fall offers a unique opportunity to reassess our habits—especially our eating habits.
With the end of summer, routines naturally begin to shift.
Children head back to school, work schedules tighten, and the pace of life becomes more predictable.
This transition is the perfect time to revisit and refine our approach to healthy eating.
Why Now?
September brings a sense of renewal, much like the start of a new year.
The fresh start allows us to reflect on our current habits and make intentional choices for our health.
It's an ideal time to evaluate where you are in your stages of change—
a concept that highlights the phases we go through when adopting new behaviors.
The Stages of Change Include:
Precontemplation: You’re not yet considering change.
Contemplation: You’re starting to think about the possibility of change.
Preparation: You’re getting ready to take action.
Action: You’re actively working on making the change.
Maintenance: You’re sustaining the change and preventing relapse.
Why is September the Best Time?
Routine Reinforcement:
As routines settle, you have the chance to incorporate healthy eating habits into your daily schedule.
Whether it’s meal prepping on Sundays or committing to mindful eating during lunch breaks, now is the time to establish practices that can carry you through the year.
Harvest Season:
September is also a time when fresh, local produce is abundant. Incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables into your meals can make healthy eating more enjoyable and sustainable.
Preparation for the Holidays:
By focusing on healthy eating now, you’re laying a solid foundation before the indulgent holiday season.
Establishing good habits in September can help you navigate the holiday treats and maintain balance.
This Week’s Focus
This is the week to reassess where you are in the stages of change.
Take a moment to jot down what stage you are in right now as you read this.
Are you just beginning to think about changes, or are you already taking steps toward healthier eating?
Wherever you are, acknowledging your current stage is the first step toward progress.
Stay focused and tuned in for something very exciting coming up next week that will be a no-brainer for you
A perfect opportunity to keep moving forward on your journey to better health.
Here's to a healthy and vibrant September!
