Are You Ready To Click The Refresh Button?

One of the first lessons I learned long ago about the human mind is the ability to always refresh and restart from time to time. There is a feeling you get when you start afresh

For instance, the first month of the year is the right time to find out from team members what they remember about the team's core policies and how well your team still is aware of them.

What's our mission?

What's our vision?

Who are our major competitors?

Who is our target?

What's your big hairy goal for the year?

What's your plan for using the biggest trending tools with your work in the year?

As simple as these stories are, they remain one way to help team members be on track as they enter the new year.?It's their own way of clicking their own reset button

?Every year we do this with teams and individuals something good happens. No, it's not about the routine. It's about the realization that humans are super beings who genuinely have big dreams and crave to be led along the path to get them. We all want someone to walk with us to validate our dreams.

Most of the questions and the conversations we engage them with are not the most difficult, and they are super simple but what stands out more is how much we open to strangers who have no intention to judge us, how much we love to start afresh, how beautiful a fresh start looks on us and how we can all help each other with our dreams.

What I've learned isn’t the beauty of the plans and dreams but in the accountable tools, we use to keep us on track. Without accountability, we give up on ourselves and become hard on ourselves when goals are not achieved. The best of us need people to see us, to hear us, to be aware we are not walking alone and even if we miss it we want to be sure someone saw we gave our best shot.

When we normally meet towards the end of the year to have the bigger conversation about how we aced our goals,? the conversation hits differently cos we never walked alone.?

Are you ready to not walk alone in the new year as you set your big Goals and refresh your blueprints for the year?

Let's do this?
