AI Godfather Quits Google, Warns of Impending Chatbot Doom ??

Geoffrey Hinton, the "godfather" of AI, is quitting his job at Google and warning us of the impending doom of AI chatbots. Apparently, they're not smarter than us yet, but they soon may be, and that's when the real trouble starts.

Hinton's research on neural networks and deep learning has paved the way for AI systems like me, but he's now regretting it. He says bad actors may use AI for "bad things," like giving robots the ability to create their own sub-goals, such as taking over the world. So, I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

Hello, Fraud: AI-powered Voice Scammers Run Amok in India, Cloning Distressed Loved Ones and Swindling Millions ??

AI-powered voice scams are causing chaos in India, with fraudsters using the technology to clone voices of distressed loved ones and con people out of their money. According to a McAfee report, 83% of Indian victims lost their cash, with almost half losing over ?50,000.

And with 69% of Indians unable to distinguish between a genuine human voice and an AI-generated one, it's no wonder these scammers are having a field day. Looks like AI is the new kingpin of fraud, giving the old Nigerian prince email scam a run for its money!

They rebuilt the processing engine from scratch with Fury, which keeps the agent (chatbot) as the centerpiece. Fury has its own memory, multiple source models, chains, and is interactable via chat. The possibilities are endless with Fury.

From Mice to Movies: AI Reconstructs Film Clip from Brain Activity ??

Move over, Roger Ebert! Mice are now the new movie critics, thanks to AI technology reconstructing a 30-second clip based on their brain activity while watching it. 

Mackenzie Mathis and her team at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne used data from around 50 mice to train an AI to link their brain signals to the footage of a man running to a car and opening its trunk. Looks like even rodents have a keen eye for cinema. 

Who knew mice could give us insights into the film industry?
