Are You Ready for AI? My Chat GPT Thoughts & Recommendations

Are You Ready for AI? My Chat GPT Thoughts & Recommendations

I've been playing with ChatGPT. Here are my quick thoughts & recommendations for brands of all sizes in regard to #ArtificialIntelligence

What is ChatGPT? Definition according to Wikipedia: ChatGPT?(Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a?chatbot?launched by?OpenAI?in November 2022. It is built on top of OpenAI's?GPT-3.5?family of?large language models, and is?fine-tuned?with both?supervised?and?reinforcement learning?techniques.

ChatGPT was launched as a prototype on November 30, 2022, and quickly garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge. Its uneven factual accuracy was identified as a significant drawback

My quick thoughts and recommendations for brand in regard to this specific AI tool and considerations for artificial intelligence in general.

1. Any person or organization that is not outstanding at what you do should be concerned. You risk being somewhat to fully replaced.

2. Master your craft. 1st impact AI will have is cutting off low performers.

3. Newbies to their industry & their own services will get sucked in with risk. They won't understand the data is biased, may not be 100% accurate. Yes it's amazing but may not be as amazing as what they think and based on their lack of experience, they can't identify the bias or don't know what "outstanding" is. This leads to #1 above of why those who are already outstanding and #1 at what they do will still win.

4. Experts in their craft will be first to leverage these tools to become even more competitive. It will make them faster, offer more insight quicker to the broader global, national and local knowledge and more. They will use the tools to leap frog competition overnight. This goes for startups to enterprise orgs.

5. Many CEOs and organizations will be taken advantage of by AI orgs big and small. They will sell them the moon and if they have not done their own research on the tools, how it is used, where the data came from, and the list goes on they could be taken to the cleaners and out a lot of cash with little result.

6. Our global economy, workforce, #cultures & societies are not ready for this technology. Most people who think they know what it is really don't. We are not ready to transition our teams, our technology and truly understand and prioritize the best way to leverage these technologies immediately and as a growth strategy.

7. Organizations that haven't stayed current with digital technology trends will feel it immed. If you missed the dot com era, "go digital" era and are still struggling with simple things such as using video to sell to your prospects, implementing a basic CRM, still have infighting about going digital.. sorry to say but you are set up to fail already. You MUST not only catch up but you need a go forward future thinking strategy immediately of how you are going to address these changes.

These are my rough thoughts after playing with #ChatGPT #openai tool for less than 2 hours. I've worked in the enterprise, SMB & startup / entrepreneur tech & services space for 25+ yrs. I was doing social networking before there was anything called social networks.

If you need someone to help you bullet proof how you address the accelerated speed of #digitaltechnology change, reach out.

I'll be publishing much more on this topic & how brands of all sizes can not just survive, but 100% thrive in a digital world where the only guarantee is change!

Do not FEAR! The best weapon during times of massive change is your #mindset . Surround yourself with people smarter than you and believe in your dreams. It's time to dream bigger my friends. Let's go!

Thoughts? Where are you on the digital spectrum of embracing a massive transformation? Are you ready? Is your team ready? Are you excited? Are you fearful? What is driving your beliefs?

Agreed Pam Moore, AI can be a great tool to improve consumer targeting, but brands should definitely ensure they're not just chasing the latest trends and losing focus on what got them there in the first place. It's so important to establish specific goals when investigating technology investments and make sure they are aligned with customer needs - that way you won't skip an essential step in future-proofing your organization

Thanks for sharing. I am always amazed by the speed in which you keep up on technology! This launched Nov 22. Your finger is seriously on the pulse! Well done.

The line that caught my attention was, “uneven factual accuracy was identified as a significant drawback”. Don’t know who came up with that one but it ?would have been easier to just say it can’t tell the difference between a truth and a lie. I would say it’s total lack of a moral compass is also “a significant drawback”. ????
