Are you procrastinating on this?

Hey job seeker.

Here’s something I've been avoiding: trimming the blackberry bushes around our patio.

Earlier this summer, I was pretty good about not letting it get too overgrown. But lately, I’ve been procrastinating. It’s been over a month since the last time I cut them back, so the brambles are extra thick and prickly by the time I get around to it next.

Anyway, we all procrastinate in different areas of our lives, especially when that task feels really daunting, or we don’t know where to start.

For example, I know a LOT of job seekers procrastinate on figuring out their answer to the interview question “tell me about yourself.”

This question in particular feels intimidating to a lot of my clients before they hire me as their interview coach because, well, how the heck are you supposed to summarize your entire 20+ year career into a 3-minute schpeal?!

While it’s not always easy… here’s your sign to get it done anyway.

Today, I encourage you to set aside 10 minutes to figure out how to answer this (sometimes annoying, but always important) interview question.
