Are you practicing pain?

Let's start by getting a little nerdy...

Hebb's Law of Neuroplasticity states, that neurons that fire together, get wired together.

Another way of saying this is practice makes perfect.

When you have pain and you try and push through it...

What you are doing is wiring a pattern that says "movement equals pain".

You are essentially practicing pain.

I know that sounds weird.

But that is the way the nervous system works.

Often, I find that clients who come to me no longer have the original injury but still have pain.

This is because the pain pattern they created when they kept pushing through the pain is still there.

Sequence matters

Let's discuss the sequence.

If you take butter, eggs, sugar, flour, and water separately and put them in the oven...

Do you end up with a cake?

Of course not.

You need to use the right sequence.

You combine the ingredients, pan them, and place them in the oven that is set at a specific temperature and time.

To become pain-free, you must use the proper sequence to reset the pain pattern.

Unlike a cake that has an easy-to-follow recipe your pain pattern has a unique code that is relevant for you.

It requires a trained professional to...

  1. Identify the cause of the pain
  2. Create a comprehensive plan (One that addresses the actual problem and the faulty patterns.)
  3. Lay out a schedule to execute that plan.
  4. Provide the guidance and support to overcome the obstacles along the way.
