You Owe Yourself!

You Owe Yourself!

It's the beginning of a new year...2023 for some of you it will mark the start of pursuing a new goal or tackling that "mountain" you have been putting off. Often when we commit to something new, certain obstacles seem to get in the way. The main obstacle is usually ourselves. We look in the mirror and the doubt immediately starts to set in. Books, podcasts, posts, and blogs have all been written with the purpose of educating on how to navigate and mitigate this doubt and fear. While the content of this material may be accurate, none of it matters at all unless YOU are willing to make the choice. Every day we are faced with situations that require us to make choices and unfortunately, all too often we choose the path of least resistance.

Choices like:

Taking a new job opportunity. Your dream job, (dance floor) is within your reach, but you have been in your current job for so long and it just feels like you are stuck in a rut. The bills aren't going anywhere and ends must be met. The family depends on your income so it's just easier to "grin and bear it" rather than pursue your dream. So you just punch in and out as the world around changes but you remain the same...safe, stable, and questioning your purpose.

Or

Committing to a personal fitness journey. We all see the ads on the TV promoting fitness and we tell ourselves, "I am going to start working out and eating healthy foods." Then when it comes time to actually start we look at the other people at the gym beside us who may be ahead of us on the fitness journey and the doubt and despair starts to creep in. We lie to ourselves and say, "I'll never have that body, I'll never lift that weight, I don't have time to meal prep."

All too often in life we never take off. We quit on ourselves before we even start.

Yes family, success is often as simple as a choice. A choice to live a certain way. To embrace discipline, and structure, to face the edge of the cliff daring to take the leap that we have been fearful of for far too long. We owe it to ourselves to be consistent in the pursuit of excellence as we move forward. To embrace the hurt and growing pains that come with self-improvement. We owe it to ourselves to stay focused as we take our lives and shake them up with the understanding that we CAN DO whatever we CHOOSE.

We just need to make the CHOICE.

The human mind is arguably the most powerful object on this planet, maybe even the Universe. Unfortunately many are willing to waste this gift and focus on what they can't do rather than what they can. They convince themselves that they are content with where they're at, to just exist, to just simply be.

So what about you? You clicked on this profile which led you to this article. What will you do with the words written here? Will you make the CHOICE to cast off the doubt and fear that has kept you on the bench for way too long? Will you grab the battle axe hanging above the mantle and with a rebel yell kick down the door of your goals, aspirations, and dreams? YOU owe it to yourself to start, to make your dreams your new reality, to just DO! YOU owe it to yourself to be consistent, disciplined and focused while pursuing your new reality.

We all need guidance and someone to help us sharpen our axe, buckle our armor, toss us our shields and open the gates. I got you... so believe that you are owed and take!

From me to you: Stay strong, stand firm, Just Do, and Give No Quarter! -TSM

Well done ????Trevor M..... way to get it out there. A few days ago I listened to some Earl Nightingale Strangest Secret... you should say this verbally in an audio and start building your audio library of MP3s to share to go with the articles. As I say that, I realize I should take my own advice. :-) I have a coach, Steve Chandler, and you should look him up and buy some of his books... AND he has a whole library of audios on various topics that he sends out and I've listened to them in my car and they've made my life better! You will have this same kind of impact on Mannat's employees and the world if you get it out there! It was great talking with you today.... talk to you soon!
