Are You Overwhelmed? I'll Admit It, I Am! Here's What I've Learned.

How are you?
I'll admit it, I'm overwhelmed! I put too many things on my plate out of excitement and now I'm putting them down and letting myself find a bit more balance. Whelp! Even my tarot cards and oracle cards have been saying 'yo, balance please, thank you'.
It's so easy to do, especially in the run up to Christmas. Social engagements and the desire to enjoy attending events goes up, the kids have more parties and things to attend; there's the gift-getting and gift wrapping; keeping on top of the housework and squaring away things for business.
It's like when you go on a ride that starts of pretty slow and gains traction like a slide where you get so fast that you're knocking off the edges and you're all limbs; and you're not sure if you're exhilarated or agitated or swinging from one to the other...
Or is that just me?! HA.
Even my dreams are freaking wild! But that could be with Neptune going direct in my 12th house :P maybe (they're entertaining though).
Anyway, it makes it even more vital that you make time for yourself to slow down and give yourself the time and space you need - even if it's stealing 10 minutes for a quiet coffee by yourself.
Me?
I've been honouring my inner child more and more, finding a pull to sew little felt toys and string up lots of fairy lights and really, really enjoying the gift-buying process as I love to put real thought into the gifts I get when I have the headspace.
How I managed that last one was by starting way back in March so I didn't get overwhelmed (LOL) trying to do it all at the end of the year like I used to.
It's my love of habit stacking and discipline that has made a huge difference to the way I live. It's not the big splashy quick goals and gestures, but the tiny morsels of awareness that allow me to tack a teeny-tiny, almost unnoticeable change into my already existing routine.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't get frustrated and expect rapid, noticeable, huge results at times! I'm human, after all; however, because I journal so much, I get to recognise just how much I am doing that reflects self-love back to me - even at times I don't feel especially self-lovey.
So, if you're feeling overwhelmed - see if you can take a step back and ask yourself - what 1 thing could I do to make myself feel better in this moment and what can I let go of that doesn't really need to get done right now?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed the answer is almost always to do less. For when that doesn’t feel like an option connecting to your body, grounding and creating a sense of safety can help.
I put together a few YouTube Videos as a gift you can go to when you need a little help winding down (click the titles).
Perfect for soft focus, light meditation or a short yoga practice.
perfect for slowing down and being in your body. Can be used any time of the day too!
This one is incredibly powerful.
If you can bring yourself back to your breath you can regain your sense of agency, groundedness and control; not to mention bringing a sea of calm.
There are more exercise, breathwork and mindset videos on the channel and more being added each day and week at the moment. Subscribe to make sure you don't miss them, ring the bell if you'd like to be notified when a new one is added and if you love them leave a like and a comment and share with your friends :)
